Hong Kong-based 10T Tech announced that its GSMA Consumer eSIM Cloud Solution has been selected by French start-up UPeSIM to launch eSIM-compatible international roaming mobile plans. The new service is available on the latest Apple iPhones, iPads and Google Pixel 3 and 3a devices.

UPeSIM customers signing up to a plan are now able to instruct their device to download the eSIM profile using a printed QR Code voucher. Fully digital sign-up is in the pipeline, replacing the printed voucher with an electronic QR code.

Created in 2018, UPeSIM was among the nine start-ups selected by Orange earlier this year as part of the eight edition of the Fab France accelerator programme.
